Dear St. John Parisioner:
Tthe Growing in Faith Together Phase II (GIFT II) campaign has been progressing on schedule. Our parish’s prayerful giving has allowed our community to eliminate our debt for the expansion of our EducationCenter, make significant improvements to our ActivityCenter, and replace the aging entry doors to the main church. And, on March 27, 2007, we broke ground on the expansion of our gathering space with construction having begun the day after Easter; and the weekend of November 11 and 12, 2007 we re-opened our doors for Masses after completion of the project. These exciting improvements would not be possible without the many generous stewardship gifts we have received. An envelope is available in your parish contribution packet for those who would like to make a donation to the G.I.F.T. campaign.
As you know, all of these improvements will provide benefits to our parish community for generations to come. The founders of St. John the Evangelist in Fenton planned for the future so that you could benefit, and we, through GIFT II, have asked you to do the same.
Throughout the GIFT II campaign we have presented our goals and plans for your stewardship investment. As you have heard, we are committed to building a more welcoming physical plant without burdening future generations of St. John parishioners with on-going debt.
