We have a room at the rear of the church for folks w/new born to about 3 years old. Their little ones cry a lot. Can something be said or done to encourage folks with noisy kids to use the room? |
Unfortunately our room is very small and not very accommodating. |
2 |
Many in the parish do not have home computers or the knowledge to operate one. I would recommend that copies of the Bishops Letter on the Threat to our Freedoms be made available in the church after mass. Encourage the copies be passed on to others. And finally the cost is very small. A ream of paper $3.00 at Wal-Mart and some ink. Lip service is forgotten to easy. |
This letter from the Bishop will be printed and a copy placed in our Library in the FLC and will be put on the St Anne website. |

Bring back the Wed night dinners! Must buy a ticket $10.00. The fellowship was wonderful. I was on the clean up committee and loved it all. |
Several people have asked that the Wednesday night dinners return. However at this time it is not feasible. Someone would need to step forward and take charge of all aspects of this event. |

I thank you for the hard work you people do. I appreciate you all. Again Thank you and may God Bless you all for your hard work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My suggestion is that I wish one of these hard working people guys to make a tall box like a drop donation in front of the door. Just a thought. (didn't say the reason for the box) |
Might be a project that can be done. But we would need more information as to what purpose the box would be used for and location where it would be placed. Please provide the office with additional information.. |
5 |
Will there ever be a couples retreat here at St Anne's? I know different ministries have retreats but haven't seen any for couples. |
Yes, Father Licari will take this under consideration. |
6 |
I was always taught that when first arriving at church you make a sign of the cross using holy water and when leaving the church you do not use the holy water. It seems that many people stumble over one another to get to the holy water on the way out. What is the correct procedure? |
Either way is fine. The differences arrive depending on where and when you were taught the purpose of the holy water. |
7 |
We need a bench by the statue of Mary where the May Crowing is held for people with disabilities who need to sit and possible stone path to get to the statue for walkers and wheel chairs. |
Great idea. We will get with Frank (maintenance) to see what it would take to accomplish this and how much it will cost. It would certainly be a wonderful community service project or something for new volunteers to take on after talking with the office. |
8 |
We could get together with other churches and have a festival. There could be bands famous and local. Please contact Gigi Seale for more info/ideas |
Deacon Tom will contact Gigi for more information on this subject. |

Can a bus or van be acquired to pick up those that cannot drive but want to go to mass on Sunday and during the week? For a small fee. |
We are not financially able to acquire a vehicle, pay for maintenance or insurance. Plus a chauffeur’s license would be needed to drive people around. You might want to see about putting an article in the bulletin looking for someone to carpool with you to mass from the area you live. |

Why can't we have a car or someone to help the elderly to get to church? |

Where is the reverence for the presence of Christ? We are visitors and were disturbed by the people carrying out loud conversations in the back of the church. It is difficult to pray and feel the presence of God with all the distractions. Thanks for listening. |
Several suggestions regarding loud talking in Church prior to the mass were discussed. From having Father Licari speaking from the pulpit, to an item in the bulletin and even a sign reminding people to be quiet and respectful. This will be looked into as it is an item of concern. If someone is speaking too loudly feel free to tap them on the shoulder and ask them to quiet down. |
If a person has doubts about another person’s standing in church such as legally being able to receive Holy Communion, would this person be obligated to report these doubts to the pastor. Example A person married and divorced several times and also married by a judge, is this highly suspect of being ineligible to receive communion? Or do we mind our own business? Or is this our business? |
Individuals are not to judge others. Father may or may not be aware of the situation, however that is between him the parishioner and God. |
1 |
I cannot help but notice that many people after receiving Holy Communion go directly to the EXIT and leave the church. At what point after receiving Holy Communion is you obligation to attend Sunday mass met? I realize there may be an occasion where one has an emergency and must leave before the priest gives the blessing. |
After Father leaves the altar and gets to the back of the church that is your indication that you can leave. Father will address this issue during an upcoming homily. |

When going to Catholic Grade school as a young person, I remember being told that when you to church or mass you are visiting God and should not be talking to others in church because you were interrupting their visit with God. It seems that there are groups of people who go to church mainly to visit each other, you can hear them at a distance, this affects ones concentration on the reason we are in church. And there is those who while deep in prayer are interrupted by an individual who loudly says “good morning everyone” as if we are to turn our attention to this person. Is this permitted? |

When is the old rectory going to be destroyed? |
We currently do not have a specific date on when the old rectory will be demolished. First we have to have the money to pay for the demolition and there is asbestos that will have to be dealt with professionally. Also Father's safety is always of concern and living there alone would not be a good idea. Even if the old rectory is demolished he will continue to live at his current location. |

We should not be supporting Relay for Life because it funds (American Cancer Society) embryonic stem cell research, planned parenthood (largest abortion provided), and hides life saving info about the cancer connection to abortion and contraception. It would be better to raise funds for Sacred Heart's Cancer Center. God Bless! |
A member of the Parish Advisory Council will be assigned to look into this further. |

Add more tables and chairs to court yard for fellowship after mass. |
Unfortunately we do not have the money at this time to acquire any more tables or chairs. Donations of these items would be welcomed. However they must be in great condition and be able to with stand the weather and be similar to the ones already in place. |
There is any chance the parking lot will be surface? When it rains it floods. |
Frank from maintenance will be asked to evaluate the situation (preferably on a day it’s raining) to better understand which areas are a problem. Then with this information it will be decided if it’s something he can do or if a professional needs to be called in for an estimate. And then the Finance Council would need to budget for that money if it’s not available. |
Please pave the parking lot so it won't flood when it rains. Thank you. |

May I suggest that weekly bulletin be placed at the sacristy before and during the mass. Let the greeters hand or give the bulletin after the mass. Parishioners are reading the bulletin instead of praying and following the holy sacrifice of the mass then leaving the papers in the pew. Thanks. |
We know this is happening. This suggestion will be discussed by the Parish Advisory Council to see if it works for St Anne's. |

Bigger closets for altar server albs |
We agree but do not have another location at this time. |
2 |
Several Trip hazards on the walkways around the church – needs maintenance. |
Frank (maintenance) is constantly working on the walkways as best he can. Please contact the office if you have a specific area that needs his attention. |

May we please have a healing mass? |
Yes. However we do not have space in the church for a healing mass. It would have to be done in the FLC. St Ann in Gulf Breeze have them and we will let it be known the next time they have a Healing Mass. |
How much did it cost to setup the Christmas tree in the FLC? |
The cost is $300.00 to put up and another $300.00 to take down. This includes the tree, wreaths and the cost of the lift necessary to get to the higher areas of the FLC. The cost used to be $400.00 each time so our costs have decreased. |
Parishioners are encouraged to take part- so let us (the congregation) say the petitions vs. the deacons. We get to do it occasionally – let us do it more often. |
The Church decided that the reading and creating the petitions is part of a deacon's responsibility. We would encourage all that would like to help with the liturgy to seriously consider becoming a Lector to read the word of God. We are always looking for more people to help with that ministry |

No Meager Meals, attendance was poor. |
Will be revisited again by the Parish Action Council to see if it’s something we want to do as a parish during Lent. |

When will the basketball court be open? |
The SAYNTS youth group uses it all the time. How about joining the SAYNTS? As far as it being available during the week it will depend whether the FLC is being rented out and the cleaning schedule. Also might be a liability problem with no adult supervision in the FLC while playing basketball. Karen would be able to provide more information on this, please contact her in the office during the week. |
We would like to see Father Licari living on the grounds. Tear down old rectory build new quarters. |

You want new members but seems that the same people do everything and don't welcome new people & in turn run good people off. No one should be able to run a church. |
Everyone is welcome to volunteer, In fact we are always looking for new volunteers as we need more people to step forward to help in the various ministries in the parish. If you encounter a problem please bring it to the attention of the office or one of the deacons. No one should be turned away that wants to help out. |
3 |
Father, can we have more parties and dinners at St. Anne's? |
YES! If the FLC is available and open for use. What do you have in mind and are you willing to coordinate the dinners/parties? Please contact the office with your suggestions. |

Lectors need to have a dress codes. Eucharistic ministers to. |
The Lectors do have a dress code just like the Eucharistic ministers. |
When will the cobwebs be cleaned in the church from the front windows? |
Frank (maintenance) took care of this problem just this week. |
Take rug on the altar away. That can cause someone to trip and fall |
The current rug in front of the altar is heavier and has a backing. Father Licari doesn't have a problem with the rug in front of the altar. |

CCD for high school past confirmation. |
Lack of participation in the past led to the elimination of these classes. However, Father Licari would like to see this happen. SAYNTS do have a religious part of their program which you might want to consider joining if you are not already a member. SAYNTS is not just fun and games. |
To the deacons: Deacon Tom please talk a little slower, louder and clearly. Deacon Don speak a little louder. Us old folks at the rear sometimes cannot hear what is said. Suggest the use of a loud speaker so everyone can hear. Nothing personal, or stand at the middle of the church and deliver your message. Signed The old man! |
The Deacons will try to accommodate this request. They do use microphones that are connected to the church's speaker system which should allow you to hear at the back of the church. |

All ministries should wear name tags saying their name and “ask me about my ministry” like the readers wear. Choir doesn't. Plus they sit around the corner, in a wing and the parishioners cannot see them – another reason to wear name tags because if someone wanted to join the choir, he/she wouldn't know who to ask because they aren't seen. Speaking of name tags, why can't EVERY ministry wear them. That is St Vincent De Paul Society, Scouts, Choir, Altar Society, CCD Teachers, LEM's, Knight of Columbus, Ushers, etc? Pretty soon, there would be so many Ministry Name tags about that those without them would feel in the minority, and want to join something. |
All ministries members should have and wear the official parish name tags each week. However we know that people have not been wearing them every week to church as we would like. If there is any ministry that needs name tags all they have to do is contact the office to get them made. The members of the ministries will be reminded to wear their name tags. The Parish Advisory Council will check with the choir director to see if they all have name tags and to remind them to wear them at church. |

Fr. Thorsen is a great priest and is of so much help to the parish. However, when he reads his homily he loses eye contact with the congregation, and stammers a bit to the point of distraction for the listener. So when he says mass, could the Deacon give the homily? |
We respect Fr Thorsen for his wisdom and his age. A lot of parishioners have commented on how much they enjoy his sermons. We will not ask him to stop doing the homily. |

I have a fund raiser idea ' Make a Christmas song CD. We have a lot of musically talented children and adults. They sing and play various instruments. Catholic High has a studio we could probably use. We could sale the CD's. I know if at the Christmas lights and other functions. My children were on a CD I would buy them as stocking stuffer and or gifts for my family. We could do a Christian CD, Easter CD and maybe just a Christian songs one for more info you may contact me. Bridgette Seale. |
Great idea, Deacon Tom will contact Bridgette for more information. |

Suggest that the parishioners be reminded to sneeze and cough into your elbow or tissue not their hands which will spread germs during the Sign of Peace. And to respect others that might have issues and use the hand sanitizer. |
An article will be put in the bulletin reminding everyone to sneeze and cough into their elbow or a tissue. However please feel free to continue the use of the hand sanitizer or refrain from shaking hands with the person next to you if they and of a concern to you. |

ELLO MATE (IN BRITISH) I believe one of the kids put this in the box. |

Several questions and comments were submitted regarding the choir. Including dress codes, name tags, additional cantors, new music, settings and compliments. |
Thank you for all of the compliments. Everyone is encouraged to join the choir as they are always looking for new members. All questions and comments will be looked into further. |
