RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initation of Adults. It is a process that an adult man or woman goes through to become Roman Catholic. It is a program that enables adult Catholics who have not received their First Eucharist (Communion) or who were not confirmed to receive those sacraments. This program provides answers to questions and education about the doctrine of our religion.
Do you go to Mass on Sunday, but never been baptized?
Are you someone who had been baptized, but never received First Eucharist?
Perhaps you have been baptized and received the Eucharist but not confirmation?
Maybe you were baptized in another faith, but now hear God calling you to follow Him as a Catholic?
Perhaps you have children in the Religious Education Program but you have not been able to complete your sacraments?
If you answered yes to any of the questions, the RCIA program is right for you.
For more information you can call the rectory, 708-484-7951 or Deacon Marv Kocar at 708-442-0306.
