ALTAR SERVERS: These boys and girls are grade school students who assist the celebrant at our weekend masses, funerals, weddings and special liturgies.

ART & ENVIRONMENT: This committee contributes to celebrations and liturgies through decorating of the Church and Grotto, using flowers and artwork, with special attention to our many ethnic traditions. They help create a reveren and beautiful environment.

BLUE ARMY: ...meets once a month to carry out the wishes of the Blessed Virgin Mary in regards to First Saturday Rosary and devotions.
Meetings: Meets after the 8:00AM Mass on the First Saturday of the month.
Se reune una ves al mes para cumplir los desos de al Virgen Maria, con la devocion del primer sabado devocion y rosario.

CHARISMATICS (ENGLISH SPEAKING):
Meetings: Assembly of devotees who gather in Rectory Pine Room on Friday evenings and share communal song, prayer and fellowship.

CATECHISTS-CATEQUISTAS
...are a group of volunteers, of young adults and adults, who assist in the religious educations classes, and R.C.I.A.

The English Choir sings at the 11:30 AM. Sunday Mass, and for major celebrations, with appropriate hymns of the litrugical season.

...is a group overseeing Hispanic activities, which includes representatives of various organizations. They plan lliturgical celebrations and social events.
Meetings: First Sunday of the month, following the 9:30 am. Mass.

EUCHARISTIC ADORERS:
Promote perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the grotta on a 24 hours basis.

Hermandad de Jesus Nazareno:
is a group of parishioners from Guatemala who meet monthly and organize a procession through the neighborhood on Palm Sunday.
Es un grupo de parroquiano Guatemaltecos. Se reumen mensualmenta y organizana la procesion por vecinario el Dia de ramos.

HOSPITAL MINISTERS/MINISTROS DE HOSPITAL
(an arm of the Eucharistic Ministers group) are re-organizing as hospital ministry in our area is changing. Made up of English and Spanish speaking laymen, they are trained to bring communion to patients in nearby hospita and nursing homes.
Laicos entrenados a llevar comunión a pacientes en Hospitales y Casa de Ansianos en la area.

LECTORS (ENGLISH & SPANISH):
The Lectors proclaim the Word through the reading of Sacred Scripture during the Mass. Participation is open to high school students and older. No experience is needed, but good reading ability and dependability are factors. Training is provided.
Meetings: Meet once a quarter after Sunday 8:00 am Mass. Training with church microphones is scheduled as needed.
LECTORES: (ESPANOL):
Los lectores se renen cada segundo domingo del mes despues de la misa de las 9:30 am. Los lectores proclaman la Plababra por medio de las lecturas de la Sagrada Escritura durante la misa. Invitamos a participar a jovens de 16 anos en adelante. No se necesita experiencia. Solo tener buena habilidad para leer y que sea responsable. Se de entrnamiento.

LITURGY COMMITTEE...
... plans ways to make our services more meaningful, making themselves aware of trends in church worship, and disseminating this knowledge to the large community. Co-ordinating the symbols of various ethic groups within the parish is a major part of unifying the parish.
Meetings: All communities meet together; Monthly/seasonal.

COMITE LITURGICO:
Planea muneras para hacer nestros servicios con mas sentido conociendo las maneras adorar en la iglesia, y divulgar el conocimiento a la comunidad. Co-ordinado los símbolos y celebraciones de varios grupos etnicos entre la parroquia es una parte grande de la unificación de la parroquia.
Reuniones: Mensual o estaciones.

LIWANAG:
is a Filipino-based organzation that meets on the first Sunday of the month to plan events in their community and the parish.
Es una organzacion Filipina que se reune una vez al mes para planificar actividades organzados por ellos para su comunidad y la parroquia.

(MATRIMONY IN CHRIST):
Couples who have been previously married in a civil ceremony are invited to married in the Church. A short preparation preceeds a group weeding ceremony celebrated by the pastor.
Meetings: Once a year, three weekend classes are led by a married couple who prepare them for Christian married life. Families are then invited to participate in the group weddings that follow.) (Provided in Spanish only.)

MATRIMONO EN CRISTO: A las parejas que se casaron por una cermonia civil son invitados a casarse en la Iglesia antes de una corta preparcion un grupo de cermonias matrimoniales se celebaran por el Sacerdotes
Reuniones: Una vez al ano, tres clases al dia sabado que son dirigidas por parejas casadas quienes los preparan para una vida matrimonial cristiana. Los familias entoces seran invitados a participar en los matrimonios que sequran.

PASTORAL PARISH COUNSEL:
Is a new group representing the various facets of the parishl Together with the Sounding Boards they meet monthly to discus parish life.
CONCEJO PASTORAL PARROQUIAL:
Es un grupo nueva representatudo las diferentes facetas de las Parroquia. Juntos con la Junta se Consejo se reunen menualmente para comentar la vida parroquial.

RAVENSWOOD CATHOLIC YOUNG ADULTS...
...is a group of under - 40`s of several neighboring parishes - St. Benedict, Queen of Angeles, St. Matthias - Transfiguration, and Our Lady of Lourdes. They meet reguarly for both social events and service projects. Among other things, they sponsor and act as ministers at the weekly multi-parish Mass held on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm at St. Benedict, which is open to all ages. They also are involved in the summertime Theology on Tap program.
Meetings: Monthly

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY:
This is a newly re-organized social arm of the church whoes goal is to aid parishioners in need.
Meetings: As needed.

SOUP KITCHEN (FOR THE POOR):
The Soup Kitchen serves a meal each Wednesday. We serve from 5:30 pm. to 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria.
Schedule: We begin preparation after 3:00 pm. in the afternoon. Clean up starts after 6:30 pm. All are welcome.
