Mission Statement

St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish is a Stewardship Parish.

Our Mission Statement:

THE MISSION OF ST. MARY`S CATHOLIC CHURCH OF ADRIAN, A DIVERSE, ALIVE AND INVITING COMMUNITY, IS TO BE THE LIVING PRESENCE OF CHRIST THROUGH COMPASSIONATE SHARING OF THE GIFTS WE HAVE RECEIVED.

Belief Statements:
1. We believe that by Baptism all are called to full, conscious and active participation in parish worship.
2. We believe that all parishioners are called to share in the mission and ministry of Jesus.
3. We believe that a spirit of welcome and hospitality help define us as a parish.
4. We believe that outreach to the poor is essential to living the Gospel at St. Mary`s.
5. We believe that we have a responsibility for the faith formation of our youth and families.
6. We believe that lay people have a critical role in parish leadership.

Goals
In the next three years we will:

1. Increase Mass attendance by 10% per year.

2. Access the lay leadership needs of the parish and establish a process to develop and nurture that leadership.

3. Increase the number of parish financial supporters who use envelopes or EFT by 20%.

4. Increase the number of middle school and high school parishioners involved in parish youth activities by 20%.
