Amazing Parish Leadership Team news

Parishioners attended an Amazing Parish Conference in mid-April.  Visit www.amazingparish.org to get a flavor of the effort to revitalize parishes.  A parish leadership team is formed (Chuck Childs, Mary Ellen Childs, Terry Jurgensmeyer, Rev. Carl Kerkemeyer and Dennis Siegmann) and organized to meet with our pastor weekly to provide input and support. Thus far, a parish prayer is developed and an organizational chart is being finalized.

Amazing Parish offers conferences, webinars, resources, connections and support of parishes desiring to become amazing by implementing seven traits of an Amazing Parish - A Reliance on Prayer, A Real Leadership Team, A Clear Vision & Plan, The Sunday Experience, Compelling Formation, Small Group Discipleship and Missionary Zeal.

"The parish is the presence of the Church in a given territory, an environment for hearing God`s word, for growth in the Christian life, for dialogue, proclamation, charitable outreach, worship and celebration."  - Pope Francis

Our Parish Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You for the good of our parish. Make us work in a spirit of trust, love and understanding so that we may experience an abundance of light, compassion and peace. Keep our eyes ever fixed upon You, O Lord. Enable us to do your will in our lives, no matter the difficulty it may entail. Protect Sacred Heart from any attempt to diminish your loving action among us. Send us your Holy Spirit and renew our parish with a vivid sense of your presence, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Bring more people to Christ and his Church.
